Red Dragon - Granite Kitchen Countertops, Bristol CT
The owner of this home was initially shopping for quartz stone but ended her search at Everest Marble & Granite where she viewed Red Dragon granite which she chose to set off her collection of Red Ware pottery. (Check out the hand-thrown paper towel holder to the left of the sink). The slabs show a background of rich brick red with pebble specs of rose and gray. Black splotches that look like ink spots streak out and across the red which gives the overall appearance of a magical red dragon. Once fabricated the fiery dragon is tamed into a beautiful natural stone feature with a tactile surface that begs to be touched. This homeowner chose a black granite composite undermount sink. The back splash has been finished with 1"x1" slate mosaic tiles and hand carved slate switch plates. The combination with the black washed oak cabinetry and wide pine flooring is design perfection.
